-"Never grow a wishbone where your backbone ought to be."

Vivien, 16. Australia. Freckled and petite.

In all honesty, it doesn't take a lot; but it's everything from the beautiful creature with triangle fuzzbrows to the little corners of the earth belonging to Lush Cosmetics that make me smile.

Goodbye for now!

Can’t afford to scroll any more of my time away until exams are over, so I’ll just have to resort to blogging to an audience of one on my blogspot for the next two and a half weeks.

Stay golden!

Ah, bliss.

Study break! Warming up my sore hands with a hot mug of Earl Grey tea (Madame Flavour, of course!) and turning up my ‘chill’ playlist. Good, good, good.

Breakfast pancakes, the right way.

Peanut butter and honey pancake stack, topped with warm apple, cinnamon sugar, crunchy homemade muesli and another dollop of peanut butter.

Well, I found the only way to actually make me like this song. Noah’s blues cover of LMFAO’s ‘Sexy and I Know It.’

LOVE this!

This is actually amazing.
Wow. Just wow.

I love that the sleaziness is completely taken out of it!

hot junior social goss, guiz

Kidding!

But, my brother just got home from the junior social and as soon as he walked in the door, he looked at me really seriously and asked if I knew a person by the name of ‘Caroline’ from school. Too bad that I do; she’s my friend L’s little sister. Tad worried right now.

At the same time though, I don’t actually want to know how/what happened tonight. Little brothers + the topic of ‘sweet hooks’ = way too awkward for any moment in this lifetime.

Wake Me Up - Ed Sheeran

So I take you to the beach, and walk along the sand,
And I’ll make you a heart pendant, with a pebble held in my hand.

And I’ll carve it like a necklace, so the heart falls where your chest is,

and now a piece of me, is a piece of the beach, and it falls just where it needs to be, and rests peacefully.
You just need to breathe, to feel my heart against yours now,

against yours now.

But maybe I’m just in love when you wake me up.

My day off school to explore a rainforest

Today was the kind of day that you don’t expect to brilliant. Unit 3+4 SAC preparation was what we were told we were going to be doing, but I never pictured the beautiful and humbling experience of learning in a rainforest that we went through today as well.

To stand there in the thick mud with your head tilted back as far as it can go, just listening to an incredibly passionate woman tell you the most fascinating things about the way nature works, was a incredibly relaxing yet thought-provoking use of a day off school. Everybody is getting so stressed right now, myself included, and I think today was rare in that we all forgot about everything but the bigger picture. No rush, no panic, just a lot of inspiring discussion.

So, note to self: drag your stressed self up to the mountains and the forests and take a good, slow look around. Take plenty of deep breaths to offset all that sweating about the small stuff.

Hey, you’re a gem

Thanks for the laughs. I enjoy you.

Strange things I can do (#1):

Explain, in less than 600 Indonesian words, the concept of global warming. That is, the contributing factors, their effects and the steps taken on a global and national scale to reduce its effects, all in another language.

BAM. LOTElyf.

Treat yourself!

Get your asses down to Ganache and try one of their hot drinks; they’re bloody amazing! They’re a tad pricey for a little cup ($6) but I tried a cinnamon hot chocolate there today and it was beautiful and rich and the CINNAMON, my god, yum! I would have ordered seconds of that deliciousness had I not been a bit tight on funds this week. Ah, life.

The barista looked like this strange cross of Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe and was in this cute suit jacket while he was making our drinks, which was different - good different though!

Mum swears that Ganache make the best coffee ever- I don’t know if that’s true but I’ll be back there on Friday to find out, for sure!
